Silverstream Homestead and Farmstay Cottages

The multi-award winning Silverstream Alpaca Stud offers two luxurious self-contained farmstay B&B cottages that sleep up to five persons per cottage. Each farm stay cottage has two bedrooms- one bedroom has a Queen bed and the other bedroom has two single beds and a rollaway can be supplied for a fifth person.Â
Book today, and in addition to a free one hour farm tour (worth $40 per person), you will also get 20% any alpaca products, from our Alpaca shop, purchased during your stay.
Guests may pay by cash, Visa or Mastercard upon arrival. We do not debit credit cards before arrival.

The farmstay cottages include a bathroom, lounge, modern kitchen and a carport. The kitchen has electric hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, rice cooker, toaster, electric jug, cuttlery and crockery, tea, coffee and sugar and milk is supplied. All linen, pillows and towels are supplied. We also include toiletries, a hair dryer, extra blankets and pillows. There is a safe in each cottage for securing your valuables.
New smart TV’s have been installed in our farm stay cottages and hundreds of movies are available using Netflix.
The farm stay accommodation opens out onto a patio that overlooks the alpacas housed in the nearby paddocks. There is an outdoor barbecue, a basketball hoop and a trampoline for the kids. There are plenty of board games not to mention plenty of interesting walks. There is even a nearby McDonalds.
Silverstream Gardens
Our B&B farm stay cottages have modern heat pumps for heating and cooling and the only noise is that of the nearby stream. One cottage has a South American theme and the other cottage an African theme that are both tastefully decorated.
Breakfasts are delivered in the evening so that you are not disturbed too early the next morning.

An 18 hole golf course at Kaiapoi (4 kms away) and a private nine hole golf course just two kilometres away.
Shopping
Kaiapoi Village is just five kilometres away.
Fishing The snow fed Waimakariri River mouth is only 10 kilometres away – some great salmon and trout fishing can be had near the sea.
Horse Riding
Just 10 minutes drive away is Waimakariri River Horse-riding School which offers numerous horse riding packages from beginners to advanced riders.
Wineries
There are a number of excellent wineries in Waipara about 20 minutes drive from Silverstream.

Silverstream Alpaca Farmstay is just a few minutes walk to Lacebark Function and Wedding Centre. If you are attending a function or wedding there, our two luxurious self-contained cottages provide accommodation (sleep up to 10 guests) in close proximity with a beautiful river setting with sweeping lawns and gardens, bird song and many, many alpacas for company.
